Matt Rozier Matt Rozier - Artistic Director

Matt trained as a professional actor at the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama (now Brimingham School of Acting) graduating in 2001 with a first.

Matt was a semi regular on BBCs Doctors and has performed at both the Globe Theatre London and at the Globe Theatre Germany.

Over nine years Matt worked professionally as an actor taking on a variety of classical theatre roles as well as creating a good body of screen work. Obsessive by nature he began to research and study a variety of theatrical techniques, from European presentational styles such as puppetry, mime and mask through to representational theatre such as the American Method and Meisner via Stansilavski and The System.

Matt had been waiting for several years to start a new writing theatre company in the Midlands, and believes the area is in desperate need of regeneration and support from all corners of the artistic community.

Matt has been a member of the Soho theatre young writers group and is currently a member of the Young Vic Genesis Directors programme. He has been directing for ten years and has a keen interest in people who function on the fringes of society.

Currently, Matt is exploring photography and the new wave of HD DSLR filmmaking technology. Recently Matt completed work on the Short film SYZYGY with Royal Court writer Nick Payne. Matt is in post production for the short film COLD SHOULDER destined for festival submission, and pre production has begun on A PACT OF SOME SORT shooting at the end of August.
