Good morrow, and Merry Christmas, Rotten Park Roaders.
As we like to do now and again, we bring to you a li'l ol' (very short 'n' sweet) rundown of our highlights this year.
We'll begin, dear reader, with a short video clip of our Lynne, who managed to find herself on the News at 10 this week in an article about the cost of living crisis affecting theatre. What we find especially enjoyable is the very serious tone of the article, which is promptly broken by Lynne bouncing up and down, shouting about cod:
We began the year with our film HAPPY LITTLE BUNNIES making a top ten "hidden gems" films list as well as being released on a wider range of platforms.
We then enjoyed partnering up with Eyewitness Theatre for the first time since lockdown, co-delivering Level 3 child protection training, which is still ongoing regularly. Our Patrick also delivered a brilliant set of writing workshops which saw us read and listen to some incredible new work from Staffordshire-based writers.
The year also saw us produce our first ever radio play to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee and it ended it with a short play about the cost of living crisis, commissioned by Centre Space Arts for the "Warm this Winter" campaign. There are whisperings about the play being shared further in 2023, so we'll be sure to update ye in due course!
Rotten Park Road Management the agency has continued to build a strong industry presence, seeing our client base build and an ever increasing amount of castings and work on a wide range of TV, film, audio and theatre projects.
Finally, we’ve got a Crimbo pressie for you! We’ve got a short movie you can watch for free. It’s called ‘A Proper Victorian Christmas’. Well... it’s kind of new. It’s based on the play we live streamed for you last year - we’ve edited new footage into ‘In The Leek Midwinter’, adding new jokes and other stuff to make it a more filmic affair. Watch it for free here on YouTube:
Wishing you a right ol' fabulous festive time, from your favourites Lynne, Pat and Sophie.
